Project Description

Paul Molling, Onalaska High School graduate 1988, has been a community leader and a physician at Mayo Clinic Health System in LaCrosse for the last 24 years.  Paul earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse, majoring in microbiology and minoring in chemistry; he earned his medical degree from the University of Des Moines.  He then completed his residency training through Mayo Clinic Family Residency in LaCrosse.  Further education includes advanced leadership courses through Mayo Clinic, the University Minnesota Carlson School of Business and the Arizona University School of Business.  Paul currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Governors for Mayo Clinic Health System in LaCrosse, the Primary Care Chair, and several organizational leadership positions locally and nationally for Mayo Clinic. Currently, he also holds the title of Associate Professor of Medicine with the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine.

After completing his medical school education, Paul returned to Onalaska where he lives with his wife and two children.   He and his wife, Tara, are privileged to be able to raise their two children in the Onalaska School district and they appreciate all of the opportunities and education their children have
received.

Paul’s finds his greatest satisfaction not only through his leadership roles, but by providing compassionate care to numerous families and patients during his career in the Coulee region.   He strives to give back to the community by participating in local boards, collaborating with community members including students, coaching, and being a valuable community resource.

Paul looks forward to serving the Coulee region for many years to come and is honored to receive this award.

WHO WILL BE INDUCTED NEXT?

Nominations for the Wall of Excellence are accepted every year in the spring. Past nominations that have not been inducted can be nominated for consideration. There can be up to three inductees per year. The induction ceremonies are held in the fall as part of the homecoming festivities.
