Nominations for the Wall of Excellence

Recognizing those who have made a difference in the school, in the community, and beyond.

Nominations for the 2020 Wall of Excellence will be accepted starting February 17, 2020. Nominations must be received by April 24, 2020 to be considered. A nominee can be an alum, a former faculty member, or a citizen. Past nominations that have not yet been inducted to the Wall of Excellence can be re-nominated for consideration. The 2020 Wall of Excellence Induction Ceremony will be held in the Fall of 2020 at Onalaska High School as part of Homecoming festivities.

Criteria

In order for a nomination to be considered, the following criteria must be met:

1.) Nominations must be received no later than April 24, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. Central Time

2.) An alum being nominated must be at least ten (10) years past their graduation.

3.) Faculty or administration must be inactive or retired from the school at least five (5) years.

4). There is no minimum time requirement to be eligible as a citizen being nominated for service or support to the school.

Selection Process

In order for a nomination to be considered, the following criteria must be met:

A Selection Committee will select all inductions to the Wall of Excellence.

A.) The Selection Committee consists of:

Current High School Principal
One (1) Student Council Representative
Three (3) Current Faculty Members
Five (5) High School Alumni Association Representatives
B.) All nominees must have biographical information on file.

C.) The voting process will be done by written ballot.

D.) At minimum of eight members of the Selection Committee must be present for voting to take place.

E.) A nominee must get an 80% majority vote to be inducted on to the Wall of Excellence.

F.) Nominations are unlimited

G.) A second vote will take place for any nominee with more than a 50% vote.

H.) The maximum number of inductees allowed per year is three (3).

How to Nominate

There are three ways to make a nomination:

1.) Pick up a nomination form at the Onalaska High School Main Office located at 700 Hilltopper Drive, Onalaska, WI 54650

2.) Download and print the nomination form. Forms can mailed to the Onalaska High School Alumni Association, 700 Hilltopper Drive, Onalaska, WI 54650. Completed nomination forms must be received by 5:00 PM Central Time on April 24, 2020.
