Sandra Lee

Sandra Lee, a 1984 Onalaska High School Graduate, has become a household name due to her success with two highly rated, multi-Emmy nominated television shows on the Food Network. Semi-Homemade Cooking and Sandra’s Money Saving Meals, and is host of HGTV’s holiday series, Sandra Lee Celebrates. She also serves as the editor-in-chief of Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade magazine, and is a New York Times best selling author with twenty-three plus books to her credit. An internationally acclaimed expert of all things culinary and home related, Sandra Lee has revolutionized the way people think about traditional, time-consuming, “from-scratch” cooking/homemaking methods. Ever conscious of cost to the consumer, Sandra Lee has focused on sharing ideas and know how on having an aspirational quality lifestyle on a limited budget. Outside of her professional accomplishments, Sandra Lee has focused on childhood issues, a founding board member of the Los Angeles chapter of UNICEF and is the primary spokesperson and fundraiser Share our Strength U.S. No Kid Hungry Campaign which insulates and supports 17 million American children that would go hungry everyday without its existence. Sandra has been the recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award as well as the Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award for her many contributions in her service to her country. Sandra Lee has demonstrated to all OHS students the value of perseverance and the importance of believing in and working hard to achieve a dream.

WHO WILL BE INDUCTED NEXT?

Nominations for the Wall of Excellence are accepted every year in the spring. Past nominations that have not been inducted can be nominated for consideration. There can be up to three inductees per year. The induction ceremonies are held in the fall as part of the homecoming festivities.
